We had a decent turnout but nothing like last years forty plus people. This could have been attributed to folks believing in the weather man's forecast? It was supposed to rain but those that managed to make it to Circle Park realized the weather man was completely wrong. It was actually hot and the after game beers were very refreshing.
.
We played two five inning games the first being a blowout in the second inning, a score that had mercy on the mercy rule and too embarrassing to mention and frankly we lost count. The second was a close one with a score of 13-11, in four and a half innings.
.
Everyone was rusty but it looks like we are ready to get this season rolling. The grass was trimmed. The Japanese pop music was blaring from the cherry blossom festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, but most of us had Judson's Quote ringing in our ears:
.
"I was just eye-f*cked by a fifteen year old on my way here. I must be looking really good?"
.
I am going to let the rest of your imaginations run wild.
.
Due to next Sunday, May 11th being Mother's Day, we will not be playing in honor of our Mothers.
.
The next Game will be Sunday, May 18th.
